BIOMASS
1. Is the Energy Source classified as non renewable, renewable, or inexaustable?
Biomass is considered a renewable, sustainable source of energy.
2.How is the energy source made usable?
Biomass can be made usable by a few different means. It can be made usable by combustion, in which it gives off thermal energy. You can also create charcoal from biomass (materials like wood) by heating it in the absence of air and oxygen. You may produce liquid fuels, such as ethanol or bio-diesel, by fermentation (for ethanol), or from oils, fats, and greases using a catalyst and alcohol (for bio-diesel).

3.What are the infrastructure requirements for utilizing this energy source?
since there are many different kinds of biomass, there are many different requirements. for the combustion or charcoal production, you would need some type of burner, and some way of harnessing the energy, like a turbine.
4. What engineering technologies willl make this energy source safer, more usable, more efficient, cleaner, etc.?

More efficient burners/ boilers, turbines, and other technologies will make biomass more usable and safer. there are also safer and effeicient ways to obtain biomass, as well as use it, such as in engines using bio-diesel instead of regular diesel, as engines are able to use it as a substitute.
