Target Consumers
The initial target consumer for our product will be jarred food companies, prioritizing peanut butter companies. Some examples include Jif, Skippy, Peanut Butter, and Welch's. The reason for this is because our product is one that would be implemented into the design of the jar. Meaning that our product would have to be manufactured as a component of the food specific jar before the food is actually processed and put and put in the jar. Now, even though the main group that we will be targeting to sell to is the food companies, there is also another target group after selling to these companies that we will indirectly be hitting. This group is families. Jarred foods (mainly peanut butter) are heavy implemented into the daily eating routines of families nation-wide. Whether it is in a packed lunch, or just for a snack, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich is always a known cliche food item that has always been popular. So, due to this commonality it was evident to us that peanut butter companies could successfully advertise The Butter Buddy as a new feature to the jars similar to when Oreo introduced the new peel off lid feature. We envision that our product could be advertised to the public in the aspect of saving money and maximizing potential food available in a jar.
