Winning Design Description
Our winning design is a basic jar with two removable ends, and the bottom lid has scrapers on each side. The scrapers are ergonomically shaped to efficiently remove all the excess peanut butter from the edges of the jar before you throw it away. Each scraper is shaped almost like a wave, with a hooked end at the top and angled edges leading up. Both lids have slits on the outside for a better grip when removing the lid. The top of the jar can be removed for everyday usage of the peanut butter, and the bottom lid can be removed when the jar is almost empty to make sure there is no food wasted.
Summary
This Part of the Project was very fun, challenging, and took some time to complete. Coming up with 3 of our own ideas each wasn't terribly difficult, but it did take some critical thinking skills to come up with unique ideas. After we finished our sketches, which took most of the time, we put all of our ideas into a decision matrix to see which product would work best for us to create. After completing the decision matrix, my choice was chosen. It was not the idea that won the matrix, for we decided that concept would be very difficult, and we had no real idea of how we would go about doing it. After the decision matrix was finished, We did our final annotated sketch and our winning design description, both of which were pretty easy.
